So you’ve heard a lot about the Toyota FT-HS Hybrid concept car, the one many people believe is the Toyota Supra that Toyota will finally release to revitalize their Supra line. And yeah, you’ve seen a lot of pictures of it, but how about video? Well I found a introduction to the FT-HS on video via YouTube at its introduction at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show. I gotta tell you, it looks good in stills, but it looks damn better on video! Check it out:

Speculation is that Toyota will be releasing their newest line of Toyota Supra in 2009. Then again, maybe not. The guys over at Inside Line has something to say about that 2009 speculation date:
A couple notable publications haven recently entered the never ending Toyota Supra speculation game, and this time both are saying the car is a go for 2009. We wish it was true, but the fact is the Supra is no closer to production that it was three years ago when all the rumors started.

So if the Toyota FT-HS Concept Car is the 2008 Toyota Supra we’ve all been waiting for, when will it hit the streets? According to Autoblog.com, who sites an article in the June 2007 issue of Automobile magazine, we can expect to see the Toyota FT-HS Concept Car in our local showroom by 2009.

Another candidate for Toyota’s 2008 Supra model is the Toyota FT-HS Concept Car, which was revealed a while back in late 2006. Road and Track seems to think it could be the Toyota Supra everyone has been waiting for:
When Toyota, a company known for incredibly reliable if somewhat bland cars, comes out with a stylish new concept, it’s a big deal. It’s an even bigger one when company execs hint that the car, if built, would be the successor to the much-missed Supra.
